Easter Honey Cookies

Ingredients

• 350 g flour
• 100 g butter
• 80 g sugar
• 80 g honey
• 1 pc egg
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 0.5 tsp ground ginger
• 0.5 tsp bicarbonate of soda

Steps

1. 1Melt butter with honey and sugar over low heat; cool.
2. 2Add egg, cinnamon, ginger and bicarbonate; stir.
3. 3Add flour and mix to a dough; chill 30 minutes.
4. 4Roll out to 0.5 cm and cut into Easter shapes.
5. 5Bake at 180°C for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.
6. 6Cool on a rack; decorate with icing if desired.
